Parking. This is
our chance to weigh in on this love-it-hate-it part of our
downtown and how it works. Where should our
customers park? Do your clients have trouble finding a
place to park? Do you like to shop but hate to hunt for
a parking spot near your favorite stores?
Here's the info:
A
public forum hosted by the City of Vancouver Parking Advisory
Committee will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, in
council chambers at City Hall, 210 E. 13th St.,
Vancouver.
The
Committee provides guidance on managing the six surface
parking lots and five parking garages in downtown Vancouver
which contain 1,776 parking stalls and 1,546 parking meters,
plus on-street parking and parking rates.
The
Committee is looking for input from residents, businesses,
employees, customers and visitors as they re-evaluate the
city's parking program. Some of the areas to explore
will be the competing demands of customers, residents and
employees; the cost of operating and maintaining off-street
parking facilities; how the program works now and how it
should work.
The City is
listening! It's our turn to
share.
